This project was done in my spacial design class during the spring semester of my senior year. Our goal was to reimagine the spatial experience at the Michigan State Plant Biology & Teaching Conservatory by addressing critical wayfinding and visitor engagement challenges. Currently, the Conservatory lacks clear directional cues, leaving visitors uncertain about entrances and greenhouse navigation. Our goal was to create an intuitive welcoming system that feels as organic and vibrant as the space itself. We designed a new visual identity centered on hand-illustrated icons, a refreshed logo, and a color palette that reflects the living, growing spirit of the Conservatory. Through these elements, we aimed to create a more accessible, visually cohesive, and engaging environment that celebrates the Conservatory’s mission and enhances visitor experience.
