During the summer of 2023, I was approached by the owner of a company called Gentera. Gentera is a local cannabis manufacturing company in my home town of Niles, MI which at the time was undergoing some massive rebranding. So, the owner brought me and a graphic design graduate from the University of Michigan to make a new logo, t-shirt designs, engravings, and the packaging for his products. The previous logo for Gentera was not very straight forward, and visually did not connect the brand with cannabis whatsoever, so my partner and I decided to create a logo that was very clean and simple that forced the viewer to immediately make the connection that was lacking previously.
